The Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch (utopiarescue.com) benefit concert provided first class entertainment for more than four hours. Attendees listened to Chet O’Keefe and Jesse Dayton open for Billy Joe Shaver and Asleep at the Wheel. Kinky Friedman and Big G hosted the concert. Friedman’s good friend Ruth Buzzi attended and showed her support. In addition to the concert, there was a live auction of an autographed Willie Nelson guitar, a copy of Nelson’s book Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die autographed by Nelson and Friedman and a guitar autographed by more than thirty country and western artists. Friedman and Buzzi signed autographs for all who wanted them after the concert. This was a great time benefiting an extremely worthy cause. If you ever have the opportunity to attend a concert benefiting Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch don’t miss it.
